This year’s Guthrie Gala which benefitted the Sayre House of Hope surpassed a tremendous milestone, raising more than $1 million dollars in support of the Sayre House of Hope over the past 12 years. The Sayre House of Hope is a nonprofit facility located near Guthrie’s campus in Sayre, Pa. Sayre House of Hope’s mission is to alleviate the financial and emotional burdens on patients and families during a medical crisis by providing affordable temporary housing and support.
More than 70 sponsors supported this black-tie affair including the Title sponsor, Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary followed by the VIP sponsor, Elderwood at Waverly and Hope sponsors: Clearsense, Corning Incorporated- Business Service Division, Hudock Capital Group, Korn Ferry, Multi-Media Services, PNC Bank, Sayre Healthcare Center, Stevens & Lee, and Welliver.
More than 320 guests enjoyed the new venue, Tioga Downs Casino Resort, and danced the night away to the tunes from Into the Spin. This sold-out event yielded the highest proceeds to date. The video below was shown at the event, highlighting the important role the House of Hope plays in the lives of Guthrie patients and families that stay at the House while receiving care.
