A new fund at Guthrie has recently been created to support the continued development of knowledge and resources available to patients, providers and staff regarding all aspects of women’s health and wellness in midlife and beyond. The fund, “Promoting Women’s Health in ‘Act III’ – Midlife and Beyond”, recognizes the increasing number of women entering “Act III” of their lives and whose circumstances and bodies continue to change in midlife and beyond.
Guthrie staff can apply for funding to help create opportunities for information to be shared. Examples include: seminars, grand rounds, or other in-house educational sessions; production of educational materials; registration and related costs for Guthrie clinical staff to attend professional education programs/conferences to attain certification or specialized knowledge. Training/educational material topics may include, but are not limited to: Women’s Wellness; The Patient as Advocate; Healthy Eating/Nutrition; Sexuality and Aging; Dealing with Domestic Violence/Elder Abuse; and more.
